MTR is looking for a Purchasing Development Manager
Join MTR and be part of the journey building a high performance category driven procurement organisation! MTR Nordic Group is now investing in procurement through People, Systems and Tools and the new organisation will focus on Business Acumen and Leadership to generate value in all dimensions.
The procurement organisation is a Nordic function and collaborates with all Nordic countries as well as with MTR Global. The organisation will consist of five Sourcing Managers, three Global Category Leaders and one Purchasing Development Manager. The Purchasing Development Manager will work closely with the CPO, the Sourcing Managers and the Global Category Leaders and will report to the CPO. We are based in comfortable premises in the DN Tower on Kungsholmen, Stockholm.
Your main responsibilities
As a Purchasing Development Manager your key responsibilities will be to develop the purchasing processes, templates and the supplier performance process. You will work closely with the CPO and proactively support him in the continuous development of the Purchasing organisation. You will be the owner of systems and tools relating to purchasing activities.
You will also support the Global Category Leaders by providing external and internal analysis. Additionally, you will ensure awareness of KPIs in the procurement community and in division management teams. You will also be developing concepts and tools for supplier management, contract management and policy documents.
Your assignment also includes:
- Support the procurement organisation with KPI measurement and reporting
- Lead group spend analysis and develop methodology together with the CPO
- Lead master data management to enable planning and follow-up in different spend categories
- Prepare business cases and improvement actions for decision making purposes
- Align savings planning with overall business planning process
Your profile and skills
As a person, you enjoy and have the ability to work on a strategic level while being able to zoom in to operational/tactical level. You constantly look for synergies and strive to bring people to achieve better results together. You have great stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence, coach, and communicate at all levels of the organisation to achieve results. You have a proven track record of improving and developing purchasing processes and templates. You are self-driven and take responsibility to drive development forward.
To succeed in this position we believe you have strong business acumen, including ability to diagnose and analyse problems and drive appropriate solutions. You are analytical, structured, and you can work independently and systematically. We would highly value your personality as prestige-less, curious and innovative, both in new ways of working and in using technical tools. Furthermore, you have the ability to communicate in a pedagogical way.
We are looking for someone with a university degree, with at least two years of experience within strategic purchasing/controlling. You speak and write Swedish fluently and are accustomed to use English as a working language.
You also have:
- Knowledge of category management processes
- Knowledge of spend analytics
- Very good computer skills, primarily Ms Excel and PPT
- Financial understanding and capabilities
