Your Role
As Group Purchasing Excellence Manager, you will be a key part of our global Group Excellence team. This is a unique role that combines direct purchasing responsibility with the development of Purchasing Excellence. In Sweden, you will manage selected Indirect Materials & Services agreements while providing strategic guidance globally on Freight & Logistics as well as the Energy category, with a growing emphasis on renewable and sustainable solutions.
At the same time, you will drive the development of tools, processes, and training within Purchasing Excellence, including digitalization and AI-enabled capabilities. The role also involves capturing needs from the business, identifying synergies, and supporting local units in their daily work. In addition, you will provide structure and consultative support to secure buy-in and engagement across the organization. The position is based at Trelleborg’s headquarters in Trelleborg, Sweden and reports to Vice President, Group Excellence & Sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that relevant Purchasing Excellence tools and templates exist and are used by the organization.
- Liaising with Purchasing Stakeholders to identify focus areas for the coming period and developing the Purchasing Excellence toolbox as needed.
- Being responsible for Purchasing Excellence training and development of new topics.
- Owning the eSourcing tool and being responsible for its development and implementation.
- Defining and driving the next steps in Trelleborg’s Digital sourcing journey.
- Supporting the implementation of a Sustainable Sourcing framework.
- Running specific projects related to Purchasing Excellence and providing direct support in the application of Purchasing Excellence tools at local units from time-to-time.
- Leading the exploration and deployment of AI-enabled capabilities to optimize purchasing performance and unlock new efficiencies across sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.

We value this ability more than prior specific category experience.
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Purchasing Excellence.
- Ability to rapidly gain knowledge in new areas, particularly renewable energy.
- Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
- Relevant university degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Supply Chain).
- Excellent command of English, spoken and written.
Location and Way of Working
- Hybrid model: Typically, one day per week working from home, sometimes two depending on need. Flexibility is part of our culture.
- Travel: Some national and international travel may be required.
