We are looking for a Director Indirect Procurement to our head office in Malmö!
The impact you will have
As Director for Indirect Procurement, you will be responsible to establish, develop and maintain Global Indirect Procurement standards, processes and strategies as well as securing proper deployment throughout the company to meet corporate objectives. As a part of the Procurement Leadership Team, you will contribute to overall procurement agenda by collaborating with procurement peers and challenging status quo. You will collaborate with all levels of leadership cross-functionally to build impactful, efficient, and cost-effective business and vendor relationships. An important part of the role is to build and sustain effective stakeholder relationships with Senior Management and local Leadership Team members as a trusted advisor and consultant.
- The key duties and responsibilities of the position are to:
- Establish, implement and communicate a global Indirect Procurement Strategy
- Set long range plans and yearly plans by conducting opportunity assessments in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Make sure that all indirect spend is sourced professionally and according to corporate guidelines and objectives
- Build Indirect Procurement processes and infrastructure
- Accomplish department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities
- Develop and maintain long range plan for Indirect Procurement, spend optimization together with Category development and promote it within Organization
- Drive cost optimization programs in cooperation with the business
- Be responsible for management of contracting, supplier management and business partnering
- Lead and develop people and teams by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and coaching employees at several sites in several countries
The skills and qualifications you will need
For being successful in this role, you have 5+ years of experience within Indirect Procurement for a global company. Furthermore, you hold a relevant university degree within Finance, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent.
You will need experience of delivering strategic plans, negotiating large-scale contracts, and dealing with complex demands and strategic supplier relationships as well as having solid experience as people manager.
Fluency in Swedish and English, spoken and written, is a must whereas experience of procurement in Med-tech industry is a merit.
When it comes to personal qualities you must have the ability to articulate, demonstrate and deliver a sustainable vision for Indirect Procurement, drawing upon proven prior experiences. You have profound working experience of indirect procurement and category management and you have successfully led change initiatives across geographies and divisions in your previous roles. In addition, you are used to working with and have the ability to influence different stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
You need a pragmatic and flexible approach to challenges but you still possess the tenacity and strength to push your agenda.
