A solid induction programme
Every new Junior Management Consultant at EFFSO takes part in our structured, well-developed induction programme – refined over many years. The programme runs for six months alongside your first client projects, because we believe the best way to learn is by doing.
You can feel confident that you’ll get all the tools, methods and support you need to grow into your role. You’ll develop and be challenged in an environment that offers great freedom under responsibility – but where colleagues are always ready to help each other to become even better at delivering outstanding results for our clients.
See below what you’ll get to do as a Junior Management Consultant!
Learn more about our induction programme:

Learning by doing: Training and projects side by side
- In your first six months, you’ll combine our introductory training with real-world project work – learning by doing from day one.
- The training covers essential consulting skills and the methodologies we use in most projects. We’ll explore stakeholder management, change leadership, category management and various tools.
- From the start, you’ll be part of a project team, learning hands-on how EFFSO works. You’ll be encouraged to take responsibility early – at a pace you’re comfortable with.
- Throughout the year, you’ll have access to ongoing professional development via internal trainings, “lessons learned” sessions, and our own Ed Talks.

Ongoing reflection and feedback
- We pride ourselves on an open and supportive culture focused on both professional and personal growth – which is why reflection and feedback are a big part of how we work.
- You’ll have regular coaching sessions with a senior colleague who can guide you on structure, problem-solving, strategy or communication.
- You’ll also have a dedicated People Lead/manager who you’ll meet with regularly to create your development plan – based on EFFSO’s Consultant Ladder and your personal goals.

A warm and relaxed culture
- We have an open, low-ego culture where help is always close at hand. Feedback, learning and camaraderie are central – whether it’s a project meeting, knowledge sharing, or after-work drinks.
- You’ll have a buddy to support you day-to-day, as well as your People Lead to follow your progress.
- We trust our people – working remotely or from one of our other offices is completely normal – and you can get involved in our culture and activities from day one.
- Most importantly: work-life balance is real here. We care deeply about our employees’ physical and mental wellbeing.
What you’ll do as a Junior Management Consultant
Who we’re looking for
You’re passionate about improving things and making a real impact. You spot opportunities for improvement and thrive on driving change – ideally in a consulting role. You want to master the details of consulting – with a focus on precision, structure and momentum. You’re persistent, analytical, solutions-oriented and humble.
You’re curious, open and a great team player. You’re open to other perspectives – for you, getting it right is more important than being right – and you genuinely care about others.
A degree in engineering or equivalent is preferred. An interest in procurement or supply chain is a plus, but not a must!

Rebecca Nygård, one of our newly hired Management Consultants
Rebecca holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University, with a master’s focus in Strategy and Management Control. Her interest in procurement was sparked by a summer job at Hitachi Energy’s procurement department in Västerås, where she saw the real impact procurement can have —especially on sustainability. A talk by Per-Arne Jonsson during a mentorship programme in Linköping, plus meeting the EFFSO team at the TEAM-dagarna, also encouraged her to apply.
In her role as a Junior Management Consultant, Rebecca says she learns an incredible amount every day and loves working in teams with skilled, driven colleagues. Outside work she’s very active—hard to find a sport she hasn’t tried. Right now she’s into running, skiing and hiking. Her tip: summer hiking in Austria or Switzerland —magically beautiful, she says.
